Kate’s Garden
I’ve been working on raising a few different types of plants: tomatoes, peppers, and herbs. The tomatoes are doing great, but these peppers just won’t flower. They’ve had these little buds for two weeks now. I’m posting the pictures to see if anybody has any ideas for what I can do to coax those little flowers out?
Hi Katy,
You plants all look really healthy. Just give time time.
My bonsai recently sprouted leaves after a year of doing a darn fine “stick with no leaves” impression. I found patience to be rewarding.
A website I just found says that night temps of 55 can slow growth. It might still be kinda cold (low of 42 fort collins @ weather.com). Maybe a plastic cover for warmth? My bonsai seems to like a greenhouse plastic bag I’ve been using every other day (so I don’t rot it).
Here’s that site:

Hmm, thanks guys! Yeah, it is still getting chilly at night around here. Well, it gets chilly at night all year long around here. Something about living in the mountains or something… I didn’t think the peppers minded because their leaves look so healthy, but maybe they are hiding their discomfort. I will see what I can do to make a little plastic house for them.
