Dylan and Ann return to our favorite stomping grounds for a month, and we join them every weekend for great camping and climbing!

The long Memorial Day weekend seemed like a great time to make the long drive south into the San Luis valley for some great climbing in a special place.

We needed a day of limestone climbing before leaving for Thailand. So we bundled up and suffered through the cold nights to enjoy a warm day at Cactus Cliffs.

A nice day climbing beautiful desert basalt cracks perched high above the Rio Grande, and just below the Los Alamos firing range.

We met Dylan and Ann in Golden, Colorado, for Breakfast, and then headed up into sun and fun on the warm basalt cliffs above the town.

Doug invites us and a huge group of friends to go tromping through the rocks and forests of Vedauwoo, one last time before winter descends.

Labor Day, the last day of Summer 2009. We put pads and the doggie in the car and drove out to a remote part of Vedawuoo to check out bouldering and the Hardest Crack in the USA.

We hit up some great moderates and climb our way all the way around and up the left owl.

We spent an afternoon exploring some moderate sport routes in the Poudre Canyon.

A lovely weekend with friends in our favorite place for camping and climbing.

The Big One. Mark's B-Day present for last year was a day of guided climbing in the high peaks with CMS. We did the Better than Love to the Love Route (Grade III, 5.9) and had the most amazing day.

We raced the storms up this little rock tower on Lumpy Ridge, and won!

Doug, Liz and Jo met us for a day of clippy-clippy sport climbing on the beautiful granite slabs above Lilly Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park.

We ignored the advice and better judgment of the climbing community in favor of sweet limestone and clippy-clippy bolts. We were right.

A sunny, wet, windy, painful, beautiful, scarey, lovely weekend in Vedauwoo. With moose!!!

Doug, Liz, Mark and I camp and climb at the Monastery - a beautiful grove of granite spires in the foothills outside of Rocky Mountain.

The gang met up again over the long weekend, this time in New Mexico. We hiked and climbed, and I experimented with black and white photography on this trip.

Shots from our first years in the sport. Our early years in the midwest (the Red, the New, Jackson Falls) and a few early trips (Jack's Canyon, AZ and Joshua Tree).

It's been a warm, dry spring, so Mark and I got our first trip to Vedauwoo of 2009 about a month earlier than usual!

Mark and I sneak off to the desert for a weekend of sunny limestone pocket-pulling!!

Mark and I return to North Table Mountain to redeem ourselves, with the help of friends Doug, Liz and Sean!

Our first outdoor climbing trip in months has mixed results. Beautiful weather, warm rocks and our choice of climbs. But I end up taking more pictures than climbing because of our desperate out-of-shape-ness.

Colorado is not such a bad place. Especially when you're climbing in Tshirts on the first day of November.

For our 5 year anniversary, Mark and I spent the weekend climbing at Red Rocks Canyon, and hiking Cheyenne Canyon in Colorado Springs.

The heavens aligned for one brief weekend, and Mark and I were able to drive 4 hours south to New Mexico, and spend the weekend camping and climbing with Dylan and Ann.
